Apple forced to "apologize" to Samsung in UK -- our view: not a win for Samsung

BBC News is reporting the appeal judge has decided not to overturn the decision that Apple must run ads saying that Samsung is not a copycat.  They are actually being forced to put advertisements in The Daily Mail, Financial Times, T3 magazine and a few other sources.

Apple can still appeal again if they would like, but this is a pretty hilarious ruling.  Apple is being forced to say "Sorry, you didn't copy us!".  How are they going to pay for these advertisements?  Well, the cool billion dollars of Samsung's money should go a long way in paying for this little campaign.

This decision really does very little.  People believe what they want, Apple already was awarded all that Samsung money.  All this does is run a few advertisements that "correct the damaging impression" that Samsung copied them.

The net result of these advertisements will have about zero impact in the market.
