iPad Mini something to be feared

Following up on a piece Jesse wrote here earlier in the week, analysts are beginning to chime in with their predictions for the iPad Mini.  As is being commonly reported, in a note to investors this morning Sterne Agee analyst Shaw Wu claims the smaller new iPad will be the "competition's worst nightmare."  This prediction may be particularly true for Microsoft who's Surface tablet is expected to arrive the same day as the new iPad, November 2.

Piper Jaffray's Gene Munster said in a blurb to investors the iPad Mini alone could be responsible for 5 million sales in the December quarter.  The analyst continues that these sales would be with minimal cannibalization to the existing iPad line - important due to the expected higher margins afforded by the full sized device.

These latest investor notes come on the heels of Morgan Stanley's Katy Hubert who predicts a bull-case scenario for the Cupertino firm.  According to Huberty, strong iPhone and iPad sales this quarter are likely to drive Apple share prices as high as 960.  At this price, Apple would be on the verge of becoming the world's first trillion dollar company.
