October 23rd event heats up

Reuters has some more information on the event that is happening October 23rd. The iPad Mini is expected to be revealed at that point.  The Mini being in direct response to Google and Amazon trying to entrench themselves in the tablet market.

 

What Reuters has yet to report is there is a lot of talk about a 13" MacBook Pro with a Retina display also being unveiled that day.  The 13" MacBook Pro would have 13.3" screen and 2560x1600 resolution.  Consumers would be able to expect very similar specs to the 15" version, but surely a lower entry price than the $2,199 price point for the 15 inch model.
