The first drop test videos for the just released iPod touch are popping up online. Like the new iPhone5, the iPod Touch now uses Corning Gorilla Glass 2. As you can see from the myriad of drops performed in the video below, the aluminum casing, mixed with this new strong Gorilla Glass makes the iPod Touch one tough little cookie! Thanks goes to Steve Jobs for driving Corning to produce Gorilla Glass in the first place...
Here is a drop test performed a couple weeks ago comparing the Galaxy S3 with the iPhone5. You can see the added durability gained from an aluminum unibody enclosure and Gorilla Glass 2 over those cheap plastic android parts.
