iPad components surface pre-announcement

Since well before the iPhone5 launch we've been seeing rumors regarding the upcoming iPad Mini.  While most of what we've seen so far has been either computer rendered, or physical production mock-ups (typically used by case manufacturers).  Pictures coming out today from rumor site Ukranianiphone.com appear to be genuine.

These new pre-production components mesh with everything that’s leaked out of Asia over the past few months.  Specifically, in these pictures you can clearly make out the nano-sim tray, new lightning connector, 3g/4g spacers, and bottom audio jack.

It is typical to see increased parts leak out of Asia leading up to an event.  Skeptics have long believed this to be the work of Apple intentionally releasing product to drive up pre-announcement gossip. It is, however, more likely that ramping production on a product at the speed required to meet Apple launch demands leads to difficulty keeping all components accounted for.
Regardless of their origin, convergence of so many leaks in such short succession makes us more confident than ever Elmer-DeWitt is correct in an October 10th announcement, and possible October 26 release date.

Hope you didn’t blow all your money on that iPhone5!
